The only thing circulating in my brain lately is, “summertime, pool, summertime, sleeping in, no school, heat, pool, summertime.” It is making my responsibilities that much harder to do. Mother nature is not helping, at all. How am I supposed to get my work done when it feels like summer? So, instead of studying I decided to make a list of summer accessories I can’t live without.
The top ten things I need this summer:
10. A Summer Clutch Bag
This cute clutch is a part of the Chanel 2012 Summer Bag collection. It’s funny how I think I can afford this. I will settle for a much cheaper version, but I will own a summer clutch in the near future.
9. Bronzer
My life would not be complete without bronzer. Call me a Guido, but I can’t get enough of it. I love Mac Duo Bronzer because it adds a little sparkle and shimmer to your summer glow!
8. A cute swim suit cover up
This sassy little piece is from Urban Outfitters. Whether you are going to the beach, or laying out by the pool, a cute cover up is always an essential summer accessory. Especially if you still have your winter coat of lard.
7. Colorful Bracelets
Summer is all about being colorful. I wear bracelets year round, but in the summer I love wearing multiple colorful bracelets to make any summer outfit even brighter!
6. Bright Lipsticks
During the summer, the only make up I wear is lipstick and bronzer. Bright lipstick looks the best with tan skin in the summer! My go-to summer lipstick is by Mac.
5. Sun Glasses
Sun glasses are a vital part of summer. Not only do I wear them to look cute, but also because they hide my face when I am looking scary. I suppose I use them as a cover up year-round, but summer and sunglasses just go together. I recently got a pair of Ray Bans and absolutely love them. You just can’t go wrong with Ray Bans! They are timeless, classic and compliment almost any type of face.
4. Steve Madden Wedges
I am completely obsessed with these shoes. This shoe (Steve Madden Winnonna in Bright Multi) represents summer in every way with the bright colors and aztec patterns! Every girl needs a cute pair of summer wedges to wear either day or night, and these shoes are the perfect pair for that. I am not a heal-wearing girl, but I will fall on my face multiple times for these babies.
3. Lace Shorts
Lace shorts are so cute! These are a must have.
2. Summer Sun Dresses
I have about 37 summer dresses, but you can never have too many. Summer dresses are so easy and comfortable to wear during the day or at night. You can dress them up or dress them down, either way they are always cute!
And the number one thing EVERY girl needs is…
1. A Polka Dot Bikini!
Polka dot bikinis have been a summer classic since Brian Hyland sang “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” in 1960. I always buy my swim suits from Victoria Secret. They have the best selection, and best fit for any body type!
Now it just needs to be summer so I can sit by the pool in my polka dot bikini, shove my feet into wedges, cake my face with bronzer and wear a comfortable dress everyday for three months.
