Oh, Cake Balls.

7 Feb

Hello all.

After an extended break from blogging, I have returned, and what better way to start back up than with a few yummy treats! Oreo balls and cake balls are cute, easy to make treats for party favors, holidays or if you just need to satisfy a sweet tooth. Last Halloween I made these red velvet cake eyeballs to hand out to trick or treaters!

Red Velvet Halloween Cake Balls

Recipe:

1 box of red velvet cake mix

1 16 oz. container of cream cheese frosting

1 24 oz. package of white chocolate bark

Directions:

  1. Follow cake instructions to bake the cake.
  2. After the cake cools completely, mash the cake into crumbs.
  3. Add the container of cream cheese frosting and beat together until completely mixed.
  4. Roll cake mixture into balls then freeze for an hour or until firm.
  5.  Melt the white chocolate bark then dip the cake balls into the chocolate.
  6. Then decorate!
  7. Keep refrigerated!

With Valentines Day approaching, I needed a sweet treat to put in my boyfriends Valentines Day goody bag, so I made him his favorite, Oreo balls!

Recipe:

1 package of Double Stuffed Oreos

1 package of 8 oz cream cheese

1 24 oz. package of white chocolate bark, preferably Godiva White Chocolate.

Directions

  1. Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together. (Leave some crushed Oreos out to sprinkle on top)
  2. Roll mixture into balls
  3. Chill for an hour
  4. Melt package of white almond bark.
  5. Dip chilled Oreo balls in the melted white almond bark.
  6. Sprinkle crushed Oreos on top to decorate!
  7. Keep refrigerated!

Warning: Cake balls and Oreo balls are delicious. Don’t expect to eat just one, especially if you are a chocolate addict like me. My boyfriend and I ate almost the whole batch this weekend, so dieters beware.

Enjoy!
